Microteck SHIKARI contains Heterorhabditis indica, a beneficial entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) which are small, cylindrical round worms that occur naturally in soil which survive for several months without food. In the soil they search for suitable hosts for their survivability. After getting the host they become active and enter the insect body. They multiply within the host insect and kill them. These nematodes come out from the insect body and again search for the new hosts. This cycle continues upon getting favourable conditions.
